Happy Monday, gentlemen! I hope you had a great weekend. It’s so important for us to do life together with other guys who are helping point us to Jesus. We were never meant to do life alone. “Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭2‬:‭4‬ ‭NIV‬‬ We need a band of brothers around us who are helping us grow closer to Jesus. I’m sure we all have those “do do” friends, where we just go and do something, but never get past a conversation about our golf score or how the fish are biting. That’s often not the people who are willing to lower you through the roof to make sure you get to Jesus. Build a community of guys who will do whatever it takes to strengthen your walk with Jesus not just tell you what you always want to hear. As guys, this one is hard. But it WILL change your relationship with Jesus. The reality is life gets hard and when you… Lose that job. Have a heated argument Struggle with infertility Battle the anxiety Lose a loved one Face family situations Need to truly forgive someone Wrestle with an addiction or sin struggle… You’ll recognize how important those guys are in your life and how critical they are to helping you grow closer to Jesus. I promise you want those guys around you well before you need them in the valley. Men - I’m proud of you. You are loved.
